In order to cater to the curious minds of the students and provide them with experiential learning, the Economics and Commerce students of Grade 9 to Grade 12 visited a Mineral Water plant in Taloja on 27th and 29th September, 2019. The trip provided them with a first-hand knowledge on what kind of preparations are required to start with a business of a production firm. The student visited different parts of the firm including RO filter unit, bottle manufacturing section, labelling section, packaging section, store area, administrative office, waste disposal section e.t.c. The students interacted with the owner and other employees of the firm and collected information regarding sources of funds, Governmental norms supporting and interfering with the business, production methods followed, Human Resource policies, Marketing mix, distribution network, business partners, revenue earned, average profit of last five years, future planning, waste management process and many more. Students received a free mineral water bottle samples as a token of encouragement. Finally everyone returned with a rich knowledgeable inputs and understanding of practical application of Business and Economical theories and concepts.
