As part of Navy week celebrations, the Indian Navy had invited our school for visiting of naval warship. A total of 55 students and 16 staff members got an opportunity to visit naval warship INS Brahmaputra.
On 21st September, 2019, the students residing at Panvel commenced their trip from school at 8 am. Breakfast was served in the bus itself. We reached Gun gate, Colaba at 9:20 a.m. After completing the entry formalities, we entered the Navy harbour and we were guided to enter the Naval warship INS Brahmaputra.
The Officers and men on board INS Brahmaputra were briefed about the role and capabilities of the ship, including weapon systems, sensors, Torpedoes, Firearms, Medical, Engineering and Electrical systems as well as combat diving equipment were set up.
The students were highly impressed by the discipline that they witnessed. They appreciated the polite and friendly nature of the Navy personnel. Some students who were unaware about the warship were thrilled to know India’s naval strength.
