Admission Procedure For FN/PIO/NRI
Step 1
The provisional admission application form, complete in all respects should be submitted to the school office along with the registration fee and documents.
List of documents required for submitting application to Dr. Pillai Global Academy for provisional admission (CHECKLIST)

Provisional admission application form completed in all respects
Student's photograph (6 photographs).
Grade 10 "O" Level / ICSE / IGCSE or equivalent mark sheet / grade sheet.
Gap certificate if applicable original + copy.
Migration Certificate
Passing certificate from school.
Birth certificate
Student's passport (first and last page).
Sponsor's passport (first and last page) and Visa page.
Sponsor's / Father's letter (please see format) original + copy.
Residence permit (proof of NRI status) copy.
NRI certificate (certifying parent's NRI status) from Indian Embassy in student's country - original + copy.
Letter from Guardian's employer on letterhead - original + copy.
6 months' bank statement (foreign bank account) of the Guardian. (original + copy).
Affidavit on Rs. 100 / Non-Judicial stamp paper (please see format) - original.
Step 2
Application forms will be scrutinized and interviews will be conducted. Selected applicants will be notified thereafter
Step 3
On receiving the admission offer letter from the school, the admission fee, caution money and academic fees will have to be paid (for further information please refer to the fee structure).
Kindly Note:
Student must furnish original documents or attested copies duly countersigned by,
Indian embassy of student's country or
Students country mission in New Delhi, or
Ministry of education in student's country.
For school admission procedure, attestation from notary is acceptable.
Student must personally be present throughout the admission procedure.

Definition of PIO
"Persons of Indian Origin" (PIO) in the context means a person having foreign citizenship (except Pkistan and Bangladesh) without "NRI" status, but who holds a Foreign Passport at the time of sending application, consideration for admission and during the period of his study and he/she or any one/both of his/her parents or any one/both of his/her grand parents is (or was) / are (or were) citizen (s) of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Section 2 (b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No. 57 of 1955).
Definition of Foreign National
Foreign Nationals: shall mean the citizens of all countries other than India, who are not of Indian origin as defined under PIO / Foreign Students: Shall mean, in this context, a student who possesses a foreign passport, provided that any subsequent changes in the definition as may be notified by the Government of India shall have the same latest meaning respectively assigned to them. The other expressions not defined herein shall have the meaning as may be assigned in any subsequent notification of Government of India.
Definition of NRI
"NRI" in this context means Non-Resident Indian as defined in Income Tax Act, 1961 with the following clarificatiions:
An individual is Non-Resident whwn he is "not a resident" or who is "not ordinarily resident".
