Early Years World Animal Day – 28th September, 2019
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
– Mahatma Gandhi
The day indeed created a curiosity among the children as they were dressed up in different animal costumes. On 4th October, 2019 at Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel, children of Early Years celebrated ‘World Animals Day’. It helped children learn more about different animals, their habitats and create awareness and an education about endangered and extinct species. It helped them to understand and recognize animals as sentient beings.
Children of Early Years Upper section presented a special assembly. A short beautiful skit themed “Save animals, Save Life” was presented. The skit emphasized on the harm caused by animal abuse. Then students from Early Years Lowers walked to the rhythm and enjoyed the ramp walk in the auditorium. Early years Middles children enacted domestic animals by making their sounds and briefly describing about their habitat. They also sang songs and recited rhymes related to the animal. The celebration gave an enriching learning experience to the little ones.
