A university fair was held at Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel on Thursday, 3rd October, 2019 with a view to inform the students about the upcoming courses in different streams at the under graduate and post graduate levels in universities across Europe. The fair showcased a host of universities from Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Netherlands. Parents, teachers as well as students of Grades 9 to 12 sought guidance from University Representatives about the subjects and courses offered by various universities.
In our endeavor to provide the best opportunities of higher education to our students, D.P.G.A., New Panvel, conducted a University Fair on Saturday, 9th February, 2019 between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the school premises. The fair was held with the objective of bringing the students, parents, Universities from India and Abroad, educators and interested members of the community, under one roof. It provided a platform for an interactive session between universities and students aspiring for higher education. The fair helped the students from grades 10 to 12 to seek career related guidance by visiting the exhibits of various universities.
The universities that put up their exhibits were as under:
Indian School of Design and Innovation (ISDI), Podar World school, Russel Square, Pearl Academy, Krea University, Flame University, Universal Business School, BSE, Skema University, Netherlands, University of Twente, Paris and VIA University Denmark and a group of Universities from Canada and Australia.
The fair was attended by a large number of people interested and related to the field of education.
The event began with lighting of the lamp by Dr. Latha Venkataraman and other member- attendees of the fair.
It was followed by a welcome note by Ms. Melissa of IB1 followed by an enchanting performance by the Violin band of DPGA.
The fair was officially opened to the general public free of cost. The students as well as parents who attended the fair were able to gather valuable information regarding universities and their admission procedures.
The IB1 students played perfect hosts by volunteering to conduct and provide assistance in carrying out the event smoothly.
The fair ended by 3:00 pm with a vote of thanks for all the people who attended and made the event a success.
